Alec White-Cheshire

I am the founder of All In Mentality (AIM). I was diagnosed at 10 Years old with Anorexia Nervosa (AN) and have lived with the illness for 18 years. I have had 2 hospitalisations, one at age of 10 the other at 17. I have tried numerous therapists and have been part of a lacking health care system both in UK and Australia. Throughout my journey I have experienced the lack of understanding, lack of treatment options and being looked upon as someone who cannot suffer from an Eating Disorder (ED). This has motivated me to spread awareness and provide support to those suffering and recovering from Eating Disorders, including loved ones and support persons who are affected, which I can provide through my lived experience.

Kristy-ann Youd

This is my partner Kristy, who has been a vital support system for me during my struggles. She is not only my partner, but my best friend and someone I can count on no matter what. She has had a difficult life, serving 14 years in the Royal Australian Navy, owning 2 businesses as well as having to deal with her own mental battles. She brings a lot of experience to AIM, providing perspective from what it is like to live with someone who is suffering from AN, whilst also understanding the struggles of dealing with her own mental battles. We met at the start of 2024 and after listening to my philosophy has resonated with the message and believes in my approach. Not only for people with Eating Disorders but other mental illnesses too.

Homer

Homer is our 2 year old Rottweiler, but he is more than just a dog. He is a vital part of our lives, with his character and loving nature he provides grounding and mental stability. He is the biggest soft, cuddly bear, showing love and affection, especially when times are tough. He gives us a reason to go out, get fresh air and take time to evaluate the day ahead or day just gone. He will do anything for a Scotch Finger biscuit, some cheese or a pat!

We offer support and advice to those out there suffering with or recovering from a mental illness, as well as their family, friends and support persons.

Main stream media continually talks about mental health and the devastating impact it is having on peoples lives but society is failing to offer the right support.

So if you are suffering or recovering: Reach out and together we can achieve the life you so desperately want and deserve!

If you are supporting someone through their struggle: Reach out to better help your loved one!
